"Oh rainy day, come 'round, I just want it to slow down." - Coldplay

Meet Rachael.
Who said rainy days are for lounging around the house in sweats and uggs? Just another excuse to play dress-up. Why not put on a favorite pair of heels, tights and a comfortable over-sized top?

Rach is wearing a Gold Heart top with zipper detail, Jessica Simpson tights and American Apparel shorts.
Betsey Johnson ring, Rolex watch and bracelets from flea market in Barcelona.

"And finally it seems my lonely days are through, I've been waiting for you." - ABBA

Meet Kelly.

RSP: Best bargain?
Kell: BDG denim from Urban Outfitters. Talk about bang for your buck!
RSP: Favorite things?
Kell: My cat (Chloe), pop tarts, rain, the GAA, making out, and jap-anime.

(Lil' factoid - Kell and I go way back and both share a fond love of japenese anime established in the fifth grade...if you watch Ranma 1/2 we will surely be friends too.)

"I'm in with the 'in' crowd, I go where the 'in' crowd goes." - Bryan Ferry

With our media passes in hand complete with a fresh manicure and adorning a favorite pair of 6-inch heels, RSP photographer Elizabeth Thurston and I scoured the crowd for the most stylish at the Del Mar Races Opening Day Official 944 After Party at swanky L'Auberge.

After surveying the bevy of stylish party goers and the who's who of San Diego I found a few trends which emerged including floral, lace, azure, cobalt and ruffles. Here are a few of my favorite fashion highlights from the event:
Can I please kidnap this lace dress? I have a perfect home for it in my closet! This white prim n' proper lil' number wins my favorite look from the evening.
Ruffles done right.

Loving the lace again.
On the other hand while I usually opt for a litte lace here or there I am not a huge fan of floral however this look is just the right mix of feminine and flirty.

And of course this post would not be complete without a highlight of San Diego Managing Editor of 944, Sarah Daoust. Almost one-handedly she has drawn attention not only to San Diego's lifestyle but to our up and coming fashion scene. Without disappointment, whenever out on the town she pulls together her looks flawlessly, always with attention to detail from her House of Harlow ring to her mani-pedi. It's all about making the look with accessories. And could it be? She follows RSP? I'm blushing.

"I don't care what my teachers say, I'm going to be a supermodel. And everyone is going to dress like me, wait and see." - Jill Sobule

The ladies of RSP strutted in looks by ViKtor & Rolf, The Row, Lanvin and Derek Lam to name a few on Riviera magazine's Opening Day of the SD Polo Club in Rancho Santa Fe. The fashion show was a success thanks to Gerhard boutique in Del Mar, Cedros Soles in Solana Beach, A Style Concierge, DJ Mike Charest and of course my RSP girls. I wouldn't have been able to produce the Opening Day fashion show without everyone's support. Take a look at a few of my personal favorite moments from the affair including a little glimpse of behind the scenes.
